I have always considered Marxists beyond hope, especially the older ones that simple cannot learn.As far as "ad hominem", is that something they teach you to use in every argument at the Chomsky School For Incurable Reds? I say this because nearly every Marxist uses it...Perhaps you just learned it and are very eager to use it?

@FedorEight have you ever read one of Noam Chomsky's books? Do you know what he believes politically? What is this "fine line" you speak of, and how has he crossed it? By all means, do elaborate. Ad hominem attacks and baseless assumptions do nothing to add credibility to your comments. Show me a cogent argument that is based on some form of reasoning and perhaps you'll manage to convince someone of something. Making claims without any sort of support tends to look foolish.

When an old, aging fart gets his kicks by trying to re-live youth by posing as an oh-so hip "rebel", then you know you've got a mentally ill attention-seeker on your hands. There is a fine line between being a rebel with something to say and being a grumpy old misfit who hates himself and the world. His impressionable fans swear on his every word. He has them eating - or chomskying - out of his hands. He can tell them that bridges are made out of foam, and they'll believe it. Poor sods.
